Consultation for Therapists
A Collaborative Space to Reflect, Explore, and Deepen Your Work With Clients.
A Collaborative Space to Reflect, Explore, and Deepen Your Work With Clients.
Holding space for others as a therapist is sacred work and it’s not meant to be carried alone.
So much of what happens in our profession is held quietly.
A session stays with you.
A case raises new questions.
Something asks for deeper reflection.
At times, there’s a sense that something important is there, but it hasn’t fully come into clear focus yet.
Therapists need places where they can bring their experience, talk through the layers of a case, reflect on what is being stirred, and sort through what they are sensing with someone who understands the depth and responsibility of this work. Perspective, connection, and space to think can make all the difference in how you show up for your clients.
This consultation space offers exactly that: a supportive, thoughtful place to explore what is unfolding in your work, deepen trust in your own knowing, and feel less alone in what you carry.
Sometimes more information isn’t needed but instead a place to share with someone who understands. Consultation can offer space for reflection, perspective, discernment, and support both for what’s happening in sessions and what’s happening within you as the therapist.
This space may support you in:
sorting through a case that feels layered, complex, or emotionally charged
reflecting on what is being stirred in you within the therapeutic relationship
discerning the difference between intuition, insight, and anxiety
deepening trust in your intuition and your own inner therapist
exploring nuances in IFS/parts work and couples work
support with burnout, overwhelm, and the emotional weight of the work
talking through private practice questions, business direction, branding, or social media
a collaborative experience that helps you feel less alone and more grounded in your sessions
strengthening trust in your own way of working
My approach honors both intuition and practicality.
As a therapist, you sense more than what is being said. Those subtle shifts, patterns, and underlying dynamics that aren’t always easy to name right away. Consultation offers a place to slow down and explore what you’re noticing, without pressure to immediately act.
Together, we explore what you’re sensing, how to trust it, and whether it’s something to bring into the room, hold with curiosity, or allow more time to unfold. Timing, pacing, and discernment matter, and so does helping you find a way of working that feels true to you.
The way I work is collaborative, grounded, and relational.
Presence matters deeply to me. I notice patterns quickly especially when you may be working harder than your client.
Consultation with me is not about evaluation or quick answers. It’s about curiosity, reflection, and allowing new understanding to emerge.
My work is grounded in Internal Family Systems, psychodynamic and relational approaches that help make sense of the inner dynamics shaping our clients’ lives and relationships.
Through consultation, I support therapists in expanding their understanding of their clients while staying connected to their own instincts, style, and clinical judgment.
Before becoming a therapist, I had a corporate career that shaped how I think about communication, problem-solving, and the practical realities of sustaining a practice, a business. That perspective allows me to support not only what happens in the therapy room, but also the broader questions that can arise in your work.
I’ve been in private practice for over 25 years, working with individuals and couples in a variety of settings including outpatient recovery programs, group work, creative workshops, and in private practice.
What matters most to me is that this space feels open, thoughtful, and human.
Therapists hold a lot for their clients, their practices, and often within themselves. Consultation offers a place where you don’t have to carry that alone.
More often than not, the understanding is already there just beneath the surface. Speaking it out loud, having it reflected back, and exploring it from a different perspective can bring a new level of clarity.
You already bring so much into the room.
My role is to support you in trusting that so you can move into your work with more clarity, confidence, and presence.
You don’t have to hold it all alone!
Consultation is a supportive, professional space for therapists to reflect on their work, expand their awareness and receive perspective. It’s not personal therapy, and it is not clinical supervision.
If you’re seeking licensure supervision, crisis support, or immediate help in an emergency situation, this service would not be the right fit. Consultation is also not intended for urgent or time-sensitive emergencies involving client safety or legal advice.
Please also note that my practice has always been self-pay, so I do not offer consultation around insurance billing, credentialing, or paneling.
I’m not an officially certified IFS Consultant through the IFS Institute, but I do offer consultation related to the use of IFS in clinical practice as I have incorporated parts work from the beginning of my career in this field.
If you are unsure whether this consultation is the right place for what you want to bring, book a free consult call with me to talk it through.
“You helped me notice where I was overextending myself in the work. That insight alone shifted so much and helped me return to a more grounded way of being with clients.”
“Your support helped me get more honest about my schedule and the direction I was heading. I left with a clearer sense of how to care for myself and my practice before burnout took over. I could feel you really get this!”
Book a free 20-minute consultation to ask questions and discuss what you’d like support with in consultation.
Once your appointment is scheduled you’ll receive an intake and consent form through a secure online portal. You’ll receive a link to meet online 15 minutes prior to the appointment time.
Bring a case, a clinical question, something stirred up in your work, business concerns, burnout, or a sense that you simply need another therapist to help you process or think through.
